I just recently watched a YouTube video about the 1.5 4 cylinder EcoBoost engine not being reliable and they redesigned it because coolant can leak into the cylinder heads. In this case do you recommend me buying the extended warranty from Ford? I just bought it. The car has under 7600 miles. I thought I was getting a good deal. I haven't even made my first payment yet. I am so bummed I've been a long time Ford owner. Any advice will be very appreciated thank you very much. PS my dad moved to Tennessee also about 30 years ago and I still live in Houston
It’s an eco boost I would stay away if I were you

Even though it has been redesigned it is still not great. Any ecoboost engine is bad news. Too bad you didn't get a non ecoboost Escape because they are actually okay cars.
Maintain it and sell it before 100k miles is my stance.
Seeing as you haven't paid your first instalment for it, can you return from whence it was bought...?
I bought it in Houston. I recently bought the extended warranty from Ford. Going to trade it in before the warranty expires.. also I'm going to change the coolant on that car even though it has 75 00 mi roughly because it has the orange Ford coolant. Going to have four change it to the yellow
