Hey Scotty, my 1978 Chevy C20 Camper Special Pickup truck is wearing out as the days go on. Engine and tranny still run good, but the rest of the truck is falling apart. This has eaten away almost everything on the body besides the frame, doors I feel could break off any day, the hood is bending in the middle due to ungreased hood latches, weather sealer around the door is coming apart so now water is getting into the cab, and the heater starting too go out. Looking like I need a new truck. Preferably wanting another older Chevy that’s a bit newer than 78 that’s not eaten away with rust and has most things working, but willing too make an exception for an older dodge. NO FORD. Found on Facebook market place an extended cab 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Extended Cab, 2wd 4 speed automatic with overdrive, 5.9 Magnum V8. Has everything working including AC, is in good condition body wise aside from a dent in the rocker panel of the extended cab. Only has one problem that I am aware of and it’s that it doesn’t always shift into overdrive. It has 186,000 miles and the owner is selling it for $800. Good truck?
Well for that price you're going to get problems in a vehicle like the transmission not shifting is overdrive have a mechanic check the truck out first though to see if it's worth it or whether it is falling apart inside being that old
since you already have a history with chevy trucks, why not look for another one 10 or so years newer?
Hemmings has quite a few to choose from. Get one from a southern state.
How about a Tundra?
