Should I buy this car for my sister as her first car through high school to college
Thank you so so much
I love u guys
The reason I pick this was because
My sister like the interior
Plus the looks
And its bit classy
If mechanic said no I am still looking
I found two more Lexus from 2003 which also 5000
And honda accord which is 3000 but has 100000 miles the honda was driven by old lady she passed away so her son is trying to get rid of car
What year is the Honda Accord?
Honda is 2008 base accord nothing fancy
So as back up can you guys recommend any car under 5000 I am gonna add another 2000 if necessary
For my sister she turned 16
I just want car that reliable and can take her from point A To B without any trouble and through college also so like maybe can last her 6 to 7 years.
She said she is gonna start work from summer and will buy new car after wards but for now a reliable car
Sure, those were actually really solid cars that can last forever.
They are good cars but you want to have a mechanic check it out and haggle hard because 5 grand is too much.
In first link below scroll down to 2003 model year for issues:

Not deal breakers, but just stuff to be aware of and possibly plan for.
For the Lexus, they are good cars and I would recommend them. Keep in mind the weakest part is the transmission, I see a lot of failures on them here on the forum especially on the ES. If a mechanic says its in good shape, they can be great cars. I wouldn't pay more than $3500-4000
For the Accord, avoid automatic transaxle Accords from 1998-2005 at all costs, which is infamous for transmission failure. You will pay multiple times what the car is worth to get it replaced.
I didn't think it would be that new, so I didn't mention it. Avoid 2008. The worst Accord years are 2003 and 2008
Scotty mentioned it on his video of Accord vs Camry to avoid 2008, and here is the owner complaint data:
One of the worst Hondas out there, specifically the 08 model year of the Accord.

Could you find a 2004-2006 Camry? Thats a comfortable car, the XLE trim gets pretty luxurious and the optional V6 is very powerful. If going bare bones, a Toyota Corolla should be fine.
See the Common Problems with Toyota and Honda models, is it worth buying this model?page linked above in my original post to see years to avoid. The Lincoln Town Car is a good choice if a mechanic says ok. The equivalent Toyota would be the Avalon which is a good first car its premium and powerful and safe but not too much like a luxury car or sports car. I personally find the Lincoln Town Car to be way too big for a first car.
