My neighbor received her brothers truck in will and it's been sitting in her driveway for four years. It's a 04 Ford ranger w/ manual tranny with a crate motor with 35000 miles. I'm considering purchasing it from her but I want to be fair with her on price. Can sitting that long without cranking and running be detrimental to the major components?
The paint is pretty ugly and the tires are all flat so obviously the cost to get going will be substantial.
Would this even be worth my time?

The fuel system will be a major concern - modern ethanol-contaminated gas goes bad in months. There are other considerations as well:
