My coworker's experience with a 2020 Kia Sportage (1.6 CRDI diesel, 7-speed dual clutch automatic)
She has just told me the story and I am horrified. She got a brand new Sportage in February of 2020.
Last month, while accelerating from a red light, the transmission started to jerk. Several days later, the car would not go forward, only the reverse gear remained functional.
My coworker took it to a Kia dealer and the vehicle had its transmission replaced under warranty.
THIS HAPPENED AT 44.xxx MILES !!!!!
Even though the car was fully operational again, she sold it immediately and bought a new Volkswagen Touareg and is satisfied.
She is not going to buy a Kia ever again.
Neither will I.
I just wanted to share this so everybody could see how incredibly sad this is. The quality of this brand is making me feel bad.

Exactly as it has been discussed here numerous times that Hyundai/Kia are the exact opposite of quality. Now if your coworker wants something reliable and trouble free just as @yaser said she should sell the VW too and buy a Rav4 or CR-V.
