I put off getting a new vehicle for too long now I think I’m screwed. I’m looking for a midsized suv, what are your suggestions? What do you think of Kia and Mazda, Toyota has nothing available?

No venza or highlander? If not those then I would recommend Mazda over kia all day anyway.
Definitely Mazda over Kia. I'd avoid anything Kia/Hyundai.
If the Toyota Highlander is above your budget, then Mazda (for midsize the Mazda CX-5) is a good choice.

As for Hyundai Motor Group products, we are currently not recommending them, especially if you intend to keep the vehicle for a long time (and with car prices as high as they are, it probably makes sense to hold onto them longer and get the ones that are least problematic). See below:

Thanks for all the info/guidance! I am seeing some Highlanders come available that need some looking into. I just figured that Kia has such a good warranty that it must be a pretty good vehicle.
