I’m from Canada. I’ve had 2006 Nissan X-trail (2.5L 4 cylinder, Automatic transmission, 168,000km) since I bought it brand new and I’m wondering if I should sell it and buy a brand new SUV. If so, what should it be?
What’s wrong with your X-trail?
Id buy a used car personally. Save some money and invest in a low mileage model that’s already been proven to be reliable. And if nothing is wrong with your vehicle then I would wait until car prices go down, I don’t know how it is in Canada but here in the US used car prices are ridiculously high and I’d wait to buy until prices come back down
Some guys here on the forum predict 2025 to be the year when used car prices get better.
Would like to add that that prediction is based off the current market for computer chips and silicone production. I would take that prediction as is. A prediction, I myself am a pessimist and don't expect anything to be decreased any time soon but we'll see lol
If there is no serious issue with the car, just keep driving it. Besides the market situation, every used car has its own issues. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know.
