Scotty I got a 2013 Mazda3, 91,000 miles, For my next car I was thinking about getting a Mazda Miata, I've been thinking about it for a while, but I'm still not sure yet, the other two choices are either a Honda or Toyota, What do you think?

If you want a fun 2-seat roadster that you can drive with few worries about repairs the Miata is an excellent choice.

On the other hand, if you want to spend most of your time with that type of car under the hood chasing oil leaks, electrical problems, and various sundry mechanical issues, an MG or Triumph would be the ticket. (Extra points for taking on a Triumph Stag with its original V8 engine that required timing chains - not belts - replaced every 25,000 miles.)

If you’re gonna get a Miata, get a manual.. They are real fun to drive & reliable with a manual.

It’s a different type of car compared to your vanilla Toyota or Honda product, so be aware of that.

That's another thing to, cause I heard that they are fun with the manual, I just need to learn how to drive a manual lol

It’s a piece ‘o piss.. If you have good hand-leg coordination, it should take you like 10 minutes.. It’s not at all hard, I learnt to drive on a stick & I taught myself...

The Miata is a solid roadster. If you want a roadster a Miata is probably your best bet.

Do you mean new new car? Toyota and Honda will always be more reliable than Mazda from a reliability standpoint. (For now at least, toyota has that merger thingy going on with Mazda so we'll see what happens) If you want a Miata just for the sake of having a Miata then go for it they're pretty fun cars and canyon carve pretty easily due to the even weight distribution. Do you have specific cars for both Toyota and Honda that you are looking to compare?

Miatas are very reliable, probably Mazda’s most reliable vehicle.

Well I'm not looking to get a new car now, It's just something that I've been thinking about here and there and that's why I wanted to go on here to talk about it, but It's probably going to be a new one, just because when I got my Mazda3 I got it used, and it's also my first car, but if I can find a used one that isn't too old with a pretty good deal, that would be great, and as for Honda and Toyota, for Honda I'm planning on sticking with the sedan, So Civic or Accord is my choice, and same goes for Toyota, either a Corolla or a Camry, those are my choices

Or a newer Mazda3 or Mazda6, I forgot the mention that in the first place, but I've been hearing that the newer ones are more reliable now that they're teaming up with Toyota

At this point it's your call lol all of em are good cars with little issue. Toyota does have a recall going on for replacement fuel pump affecting 2018+ cars atm. Idk about the other manufacturers.

From what I see the Miata is the only 2 seater you got listed. So unless you need the room of the sedan then why not the sportier car haha I'd say first decide if it's really what you want. And disadvantage if you got more than 1 person you have to drive around.

In terms of people, It shouldn't be a problem, because I don't have people in my car that often, but if I do It's been only one person with me, but we'll still see what happens when the time comes

Have fun haggling if you go to dealer. Pro tip: you will always get your price if you are patient enough to wait for it. Just got my 2019 Camry for 20k out the door with 5k miles on the odo, tax and license included and insurance included. Got really lucky but it also took a month with haggling with the dealer lol

And Although I've been thinking about it here and there, I don't want it that bad, and also if I do get it, I want to learn how to drive a manual, cause I want it to be manual, I just feel it's better, and I've been hearing that it's better than the driving it with Automatic, and it's more fun and more reliable in a manual, but like I said if it doesn't work out that's fine, I'll just go with a Honda or Toyota Sedan

I would get a Miata except my car salesman buddies would never relent about it being a chick car.
