Scotty, I’m looking at the 2020 Mazda CX-5 turbo AWD and the 2020 Chevy Equinox 2.0 turbo AWD. How reliable will each be and what are your thoughts about each car? Thanks!

Forget about the Chevy. As for the Mazda, it is a good choice (50 times better than the Chevy) but non-turbo would be prefered.

Of the two, Mazda hands down. The Chevy is typical GM junk.

Between those two, and if you plan to keep the vehicle beyond the warranty period, definitely go with the Mazda CX-5.  The CX-5 has a better chance of lasting longer with fewer issues compared to the Chevy.  Now if you plan to only keep for a few years while it is still under warranty and then get rid of it before warranty expires, then you can go with whichever one you like more (after test drive).  But for longevity and keeping beyond warranty, stick to the Mazda.

Definitely go with the CX-5. Although I would recommend getting thrme naturally aspirated version instead.

CX-5 100%.

I have a friend that has the previous generation and a friend that has the current generation. They both love them and both have had no problems.
