Hello Scotty!

I have been watching your youtube videos for several years now and love them. I also appreciate that you give honest answers to people about cars 🙂

The reason I decided to contact you is because I lease 2 new mazda cars, one is 2021 cx-30 non turbo and the other 2022 cx-9 GT model. I like them both and in the process of buying out the 2021 cx30 now. But recent year I had to go to dealer and complain on melting door pillars plastic trims. It happened on both cars and dealer replaced them, but saind that they will not replace them second time and told me bunch of Crap about high-rises buildings windows reflections bulletine they that have about this issue, but I don't even go anywhere near downtown, I love and worked on suburban areas.... I remembered long time ago you had a video about crapy toyota's cheap plastics and melting mirrors....

I recently notice on my cx9 driver side mirror melted peace they looks like someone used a torch to burn it, it even developed bubbles there. I could emai you a picture of it if you'd like. So I took it to dealer and they said that the whole mirror needs to be replaced and I have to pay for it $1,200.00 that warranty does not cover these type of problem due to external environmental exposure or something like that. The car is still under 35,000 mi and should be covered bumper to bumper. I took the car to 2 dealer ships and even called Mazda corporate customer service and got the same answer... 🙁

Maybe you can help with advise. I was thinking about writing about it on Facebook, but afraid it's not going to help ether.

I will be waiting for your advise.

Thanks for everything you do 😉

Best regards

Dmitriy

Well what a load of horsemen are. They replaced the melted ones with the same garbage. The original ones were and then they warped too. Personally I'd send the things back. You leased them. You didn't buy them. Or if they're serious about wanting you to buy it, tell him they have to replace the plastic again. Just realize it'll warp again because it's crap
