I just picked up a few jugs of the new orange Dexcool.
Was surprised to see it is orange in color when I opened it up!
I know Dexcool can't be mixed with the older style common green coolant, but
is the new dexcool mixable with the old red dexcool?
It does say on the jug that is is compatible with any coolant, but it doesn't sound right to me.
Do I need to completely flush my old dexcool to replace it with the new orange stuff, or
can I just add it in the the red dexcool?

I would flush out the old Dexcool. That stuff was bad news. There was a big lawsuit against GM because it destroyed engines.
You haven’t mentioned which vehicle this is for, but to be on the safe side, it might be a good idea to flush out your old coolant first before replacing it in with the new orange stuff.

This is for both my 03 Cadillac Deville, and my 07 Escalade.
I will flush both vehicles before adding the new orange stuff.
Better to be safe than sorry and they are both due anyway.
