Hey Scotty, I am thinking about trading my 2016 chevy silverado 2500 6.0 liter with 27000 miles off for a 2018 f150 ecoboost that has 51000 miles, what are your thoughts?

Don't waste your time.  The EcoBlast is crap.  Stick with what you have.

The 2500 Silverado is hands down a better made truck than the 1500 Silverado that year. That big naturally aspirated V8 will seriously outlast an EcoBoost Ford F-150. The V6s only have enough power because of the turbos. Change the transmission fluid every 50-60k miles religiously and it will last a good while.

Good answer, I always enjoy your answers, good solid information.

Nooooooo, that's a step, no more like 2 or 3 steps backwards. The Eco-boom is crap. Keep what ya have.

The 2500 is a far tougher truck.

Stick with your existing truck.  The Silverado 2500 with that powertrain is definitely more solid than the 2018 Ford F-150 you are interested in.  You would be seriously downgrading in quality/longevity if you switched to the Ford.

i think that 2500 will pull/tow/haul more weight too
