Hi Scotty
There is a consensus amongst mechanics that if you change the struts a wheel alignment is necessary. Why is that?

Alignment can be subtly altered when installing the new suspension parts. (On most MacPherson strut suspensions, caster and camber are fixed and the only adjustment is toe-in.)

You definitely want to align the car after installing struts to make sure it is tracking true with the new parts installed.

The geometry of the strut affects the alignment of the wheel. Because no two struts are exactly alike, changing the strut changes your alignment.
