what new suv should i buy with reliability the number 1 factor , cx5 ,crv,rav4,or forester, and what engine choice for the recommended vehicle, speed and acceleration not a factor
If reliability is the main factor, then it's definitely the Toyota RAV4 - they're great.
In close second place, the Mazda CX-5 with the Naturally Aspirated engine.
And after that, the Honda and the Subaru - both have CVTs and odd engine designs and both are just not as trouble-free as the Toyota and the Mazda from my experience.
Since reliability is your number 1 factor, then the Toyota RAV4 will be your best choice. If you don’t need AWD, then just stick to the FWD with naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 mated to the 8-speed Auto. There aren’t any other powertrain choices (besides hybrid).
An added bonus is excellent re-sale value (should you ever need to sell it).
