I have a 2018 Rav 4 LE and want to get a good set of tires to replace the original 8 year old set. I have heard horror stories of tires not being up to par. Can you give me some guidance on a reliable brand?

You might want to use the site search feature as this kind of question has been asked here (and answered) quite a few times. You'll find quite a few opinions. I usually go by these, but others will probably chime in with their picks:
Always avoid: cheap Chinese-made tires.
Good: WalMart "Douglas" brand (made by Goodyear)
Better: General Altimax RT45
Best: Michelin

Michelin Latitude Tour HP are one of several tire models that originally came with that version of the RAV4. So I would get a set of those if I were you.
