Hey Scotty, I appreciate your youtube channel immensely. I am an amateur but not so amateur DIY mechanic in Seattle, WA.
I have 2 cars that are currently down both 2012's. Looking to get a 3rd car to help my small family mitigate the unluckiness of having 2 cars down at the same time. Below are the current cars and a few details regarding current status.
Anyways, what used cars would you suggest I look at? Based on your channel and my experience I am pretty set on a Toyota, Honda, or Subaru. Manual transmission only. 4WD or AWD preferred, open to FWD.
Current Vehicles:
Kia sorento 2.4l gdi automatic- 143k mi
Subaru legacy 2.5i premium manual- 192k mi
Kia is getting a new exhaust manifold, down stream 02, and secondary cat.
Subaru has a camshaft seal leak and potentially a valve cover gasket leak. So going to do the timing belt as well.
Subaru is having noticeable oil leak onto exhaust creating burning smell and smoke. Do you think a bottle of seal fixx would help this in the short term?
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

CFX won't fix that Subaru they leak because they have silicone glue instead of gaskets and there's nothing that's going to fix that except replacing in which cost the fortune. Bigger reason I tell people not to buy those as long term cars. You want a good car. Looks strictly at Toyota's and Hondas
