- I love this car!
2.5 Liter - 5 speed auto
- all the bell and whistles
- the car has 100,000 miles. Since it was co developed with ford should I have the transmission serviced? The owner was religious with the oil, tries, battery, and etc but her never messed with the transmission. It shifts smoothly just wondering if I should change the trans. Oil and anything else about those Mazda 5?

I would change the fluid just drain and fill don't flush or anything and take care of it regular engine oil changes flush the brake system out.

Change the transmission fluid now (drain and fill only). From this point onward, be sure to change every 40,000 miles.

2nd generation or 3rd generation?

Definitely do a drain and fill on it. Never flush that transmission.
