I have a 93 fwd Subaru leg sedan 5 SPD. My husband and I put a new muffler and pipe, thought that would fix loud car but a week later loud again. Brought to mechanic and said he fixed it $800. later. week later loud again plus I put a carbon monoxide detector in my car. My husband was heating up my car windows up and the detector went off. I love this little car but it has become dangerous and would love to buy a corolla hatchback new but with the car situation shortages what can I do ?? also car idle is revving and mechanic said he didn't notice this :hmm:
Find a better mechanic and fix the exhaust leak ASAP. Likely something wasn't clamped/welded correctly. A good exhaust shop could help you better than a general mechanic.
