Was looking into buying a tacoma but they're still too pricey for me. Found a 98 silverado extended cab good condition. (No rust). 5.7 with 87k miles for $20k. Is it worth paying this price for an old truck than a newer vehicle with today's insane prices? Thanks for any input.
$20,000 for a 25-year-old Silverado? I'm in the wrong racket.

These models were reliable in my opinion and that's what I'm looking for. Price is high. Just keeping my options open.
$20K for a '98 Silverado is ridiculous, unless it has been professionally restored, IMO. And a 24 year old vehicle with that mileage is highly suspect. Is this a dealer? I wouldn't even consider this deal given the information you have provided.
According to the ad it's a restored trk. It's hard to believe anything they put in the ads these days.
The price is preposterous
Restored?, wouldn't believe anything they put in the ad without verification. If it is indeed restored, prove it!
Those were good trucks, we had a '97 4x4. But $20k is highway robbery. If they want $20k they should put it in a Mecum Auction.
