Hi Scotty, I’m looking for a newer model Honda civic anywhere between 2016 and 2020.
I want one that is going to be the best for reliability, is there a year that you recommend for me?
thank you.

Go with a non-turbo engine.
Preferably the 2.0L K-Series.
But the 1.8L and 1.6L R-Series engines will be fine.

With the current used car market situation and prices those years would be close to if not the same or more than the msrp for a brand new one. Just buy a brand new one. If not in a rush find a dealership willing to sell at msrp and put a deposit for an incoming unit. The LX and Sport trim have the 2.0L naturally aspired engine which is the best for reliability.
