Which should I go for overall

Scotty has expressed his opinions about those 2 too

Clicking the link shows you pointing to a nissan roque. Are you saying it is the best from the 2 options?

Not unless you enjoy frequent transmission failure. The Mitsubishi is at least as bad, it uses the same awful Jatco CVTs as Nissan.

Alright. Thank you. What is your advise for fair prices here. Toyoto and honda is so expensive for m right now.

You are welcome. Get familiar with average prices in your area and check other Scotty's reviews. There are some other old decent cars too

They are both bad choices.

I didn't know that Mitsubishi uses the same Jatco transmissions as Nissan. That's interesting. We all know front-wheel drive transmissions by Jatco are terrible.

Scotty has mentioned that on several occasions. There are other vehicles that use Jatco CVTs as well, like some Jeep models.

I've never owned Mitsubishi products, so it's always gone in one ear and out the other, lol. I guess they are a Japanese conglomerate who specializes in heavy industrial equipment, cars are an afterthought.

My father-in-law bought a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander recently. It appears to change gears when it's driving, I wonder if they switched back to regular Jatco automatics, or they completely changed suppliers.

You'd need to look up the specifications to be certain. A lot of newer CVTs use fake shift points to mimic a conventional automatic transmission.

have offers for 2015 Nissan rogue

CV axles are crap on those cars, Scotty has had them break down due to faulty CV axles and they were only a few years old. Jatco CVT transmissions are also crapshoot transmissions. They've been known to start failing before 100,000 miles. Stay away from both.
