Hello, is a 2003 Nissan altima 2.5 SL with 63k miles for $3.3k a good buy?
What checks do I need to do if thinking about buy?
A 20 year old car with only 63k miles is very rare. Unless you know the owner, make sure you get service records or find some other way to confirm that mileage
Have it checked out by a good mechanic. A big minus is you don't really know how it's been treated over the last 20 years. A plus is that it does not have a CVT. About the only thing that Carfax is really good for is verifying mileage. See if there are any reports where mileage is higher than currently showing.
Doing a little searching it appears that the 2003 Altima is prone to engine problems, with oil burning looming large. Be cautious.

What engine and transmission does this one have? How did the owner take care of it?
2.5 L 4-cyl
4 speed auto transmission
Not sure about the care of it; I'll inquire
Engine & transmission no fies/repair work done only fluid changes, car runs smooth per owner.
Great, thank you guys
