Hello so I wanted to know if it’s worth doing a timing change on a Nissan Altima 2012 3.5 sr. The mileage on the car is 63,000 miles, or do you think it’s better of getting a new engine with low mileage ? I changed already the timing variable solenoids several times first 2 times after market and then 3rd time Oem but it still pops up. Mechanic says it’s off by a quarter.

what is a timing change? Have you checked the owner's manual?

Does this mean that the timing belt or chain was either installed incorrectly or has stretched?
