08 Nissan Altima won't fire over
The last thing that I really want to do is have to admit that I made a big mistake Scotty but I made a big mistake. I was working on my 08 Nissan Altima with a 2.5 and it's automatic when the number three misfire was getting on my last nerve even though the car would still run great on the highway. So the co-worker had said something to the effect of you know the positive and negative on those coil packs are always getting power and ground when the car is running so maybe you should try connecting the number three directly to positive and negative and you might get that cylinder to fire. Well my dumbass thought what better way to do it than to just run off of the number two to the number three and when I connected one of the wires which was the middle one to the middle one of the number three the car died and has not started since. I've had it at my mechanic for 3 months and have since been having to get rides everywhere including to work daily and having to stay at my weekend job all weekend because I can't go home in the morning because I don't have a vehicle. Which gives me plenty of time to think about how dumb I was with what I did.. my mechanic has changed out multiple things and finally gave up and told me that I would cry if he told me how much money he had invested in it because he was just trying to get me back out on the road but he was not going to charge me. Scotty you have been through so many things in your life when it comes to vehicles I hope that you have some kind of magic answer onto something that I might be able to do to save my Nissan. God bless, and God bless America! Have a great night and thanks for your time Scotty. Sincerely, Ron
What is the mileage? If too high, get rid of the car and get something more reliable. You are lucky that mechanic didn't charge you. If you don't know what to choose, check Scotty's reviews. The link is in my signature.
