Hi Scotty

I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier 4x4 with a V6 and a 198K miles. I'm needing to change the driveline carrier bearing and the bearing is separate from the metal bearing holder and was wondering at what point is that bearing holder deamed unusable and should be replaced with the bearing because the price  with or without the holder is quite substantial.

Thanks for all the great videos

Well of course the holder has to be solid not be broken and have any play you can reuse them when they have to when they have play or are broken pieces on them you'll replace them

What bearing are you I inquiring about? Those driveshafts do not use a carrier bearing?

Yes the driveline has a carrier bearing considering it's a 4 door and has a long wheelbase.
