Nissan Maxima 2003 automatic. Car runs well but get intermittent transmission warning light. Has 110,000 miles. Well maintained. Ran my X Tool d7 and got transmission error code 018. Turbine sensor.  Does this mean turbine sensor needs replacing?  Or is it ok to continue to drive it?    Thanks.

transmission error code 018

That does not look like a complete diagnostic code. An internet search doesn't turn up anything about "018" related to transmissions. It would be helpful if we had the entire code.

Turbine sensor.  Does this mean turbine sensor needs replacing?

Diagnostic codes don't tell you what part is bad, they tell you a condition exists that likely has a number of different potential causes. If you look up the actual code at obd-codes.com you should find troubleshooting information.

@chucktobias I think the member is referring to DTC P0718 for a turbine/speed sensor

Thanks, if that's the case troubleshooting information is in the links below, and others with a web search...
