I have this 2005 nissan murano awd with the 3.5L and a cvt and I have this sensor that sits right where they meet an I have engine oil leaking out of it, there is like this half circle rubber seal that goes into the hole an then come out on the lower half to makes it flush on both sides of the sensor, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what the part is called could you give me some insight on what it might be.

The sensor looks like this:

It's called a grommet.

Even typing that in it doesn't bring up the thing I have

Look up the sensor online and it will probably list it as an accessory, or come with a new one.

Is this the sensor you are referring to?

If so, it's an O-ring that should be lubricated with something like Vaseline before installation.

Well when I follow your link, it says it's a Camshaft Position Sensor .

So take that information, the rubber piece, and some photos of where you pulled it out of, to the dealership parts desk and they should be able to figure out what you need.

I know what it says it is I the picture but when I look up where it's located it doesn't show me there an almost all the sensors for that car are identical when you look them up
