Hi Scotty

I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder with 182,000 miles running strong I have a led foot and and I have put 110,000miles on it since 2017 I believe I have the terrible cvt I’m if it does have the garage cvt and also if this was a decent truck

You shouldn’t have a CVT in that it actually should be a 5 speed transmission. They are decent SUVs, a couple people I know that have owned those they told me they were great until after the 100k mark. I know one experienced blown head gasket and the other said it just got to expensive to keep it running.

Its a 5 speed auto and you should watch out for the coolant leaking into the transmission. It is on the Worst cars list on the buyers FAQ page. Other than that they are better than the Nissan cars.

So the old owner replaced some of the clutches in the transmission and the tranny cooler otherwise it’s been running strong yes the small things broke like I need a pcv valve

Is it worth it to replace the head gaskets on these 4.0 liter engines?
