Would a Nissan be a reliable car as long as it had a standard transmission?

Well a lot more reliable than one with an automatic transmission now decades ago they were top quality cars but not since they merged with Renault

What model and year?
If talking anytime recent, no. Their quality has been slipping for years.

A manual trans is more reliable than a cvt and the engines as long as maintained will still last a very long time. If you like the car then go for it

Yeah definitely, the engines are mostly solid, it's the auto trannies that hold them back somewhat. If you find a Nissan with a V6 or later model 4 cylinder with a standard tranny, go ahead and buy it.
