Hi I have a Nissan Tiida 2005 model which is now over a 100, 000 Kilometers. It's been running well, but recently it started misfiring and loss of power.

I took it to the mechanic that recommended we change spark plugs as we have never changed them for two years. I bought new spark plugs, but juts before he could come and change it almost completely lost its power, when you put it drive it could barely move over a small hump. Anyway the following day he came and changed the plugs, he tried to start it only crunks but doesn't fire up.

Checked the fuel pump is okay checked the plugs are firing okay. One thing I noticed is that the gear shifter is also stuck in park, even when we try to use the emergency button it won't move.

I am very far from a place for a proper diagnosis tool. Please what could be another reason as to why it won't start?
