Am looking for a used vehicle. I know how you feel about Nissan now. I also know they used to build quality vehicles. What would be the latest year you believe may be safe to look at?

that honestly depends on the model because even cars in the 2000s were pretty good aside from the Murano, 2.5 Altima, Versa and Rogue.
The last good Nissan I know of was when they were called Datsun in 1974.
I would agree that their best period was the Datsuns of the late 1960s through 1970s. However Nissan really started going down the tubes when Renault bought into them in 1999. It took a few years for the rot to really set in so probably Nissans built up to the early 2000s would be OK.
