Hey guys,
I'm not sure what the issues is, I remember my brake pads got replaced like maybe 2 years ago?
When I start stepping on the brake, the sounds like click, it's like click click click (I guess like clicking your tongue multiple times). The sound sounds like it's coming from the back wheels.
This only happens when I start braking, at any speed. I added WD40 to front/back wheel and it does not seem to work - just to loosen or helps rusty things.
Is there an issue with the brake pads?
Would brake cleaner help?
There is no engine light at all, scanned OBD, nothing.
Vehicle year: 2010
Make: Nissan
Model: Versa SL 1.8L
Mileage: 90km
Automatic
Thanks
Well cleaner isn't going to stop a clicky. There's either something wrong back there like the self-adjuster and the aren't working and it's clicking or there's something worn like the wheel bearing. So jack it up and take the tires off and inspect them. But often as they get old they'll be a little slack and they'll make a little noise. If everything's okay and nothing is worn, you could live with it after all. It is a Nissan. They don't make noises they age
Thanks scotty. I'll probably have to take it to a mechanic, don't have those tools and am not able to remove the tires myself. My moms has been through like 3 nissans, this is the first time it has happened after the brake pads got replaced. Make sense, although I did see a lot of rust in the shock spring area of the wheels (wherever the connection tot he wheels is)
I added WD40 to front/back wheel
where did you add it?
I added around the wheels (the rims area) and inside the where the wheels connect tot he car? i'm assuming it's the shock spring or something like that. Still squeaks after adding WD, so i'm hoping the brake cleaner might help.
don't do that you can cause an accident.
