Hi, what happened to the Nissan Z, they introduced it and it disappeared, none anywhere.  Was there a huge flaw in the car?

We're is the supra? BMW connection blow up in Toyoda face?

We're is the Corvette? Order only? Gestapo markup

Is the sports car dead in the water?

Yeah they are pretty much dying out except for specialty markets. Nissan just came out with a new z car and it can barely give them away

They cost A LOT of money to develop, and nobody is buying them. That and they don't meet today's economy regulations.

Car companies don't have that kinda cash laying around any more. They're constantly on the verge of bankruptcy. The golden age of automobiles is dead and gone.

They're too busy moving SUVs. As @imperator says, the golden age of cars is gone. If it's not an SUV, they don't want anything to do with it. They aren't even really SUVs. Real SUVs are truck based. Most are crossovers. They ride like sedans but are made to look like SUVs.

sporty sedan/station wagon/minivan just doesn't have the same ring to it 😆

Yeah, lol, it's a shame, too.

Almost everyone and their dog wants a crossover SUV. Small, medium, large, or even extra large. Few want sedans. Few want coupes.

And a very few want sports cars. The math doesn’t work out for the car makes to make more sports cars.
