so one day my coolant started coming out of the cap replaced the cap seemed to have stopped it. Now my heat won't work after that. I can feel the feed and return hoses to the heater core getting hot. Engine at operating temp no overheat issues. I can hear blend door moving.

when you say "won't work", do you mean that it's blowing cold?

check your heater core

Try back flushing the heater core and see if that helps.
