[Solved] No power off the line

Hey Scotty, love your channel. I have a 2000 F150 with the 5.4 engine. A few weeks ago the truck overheated. I immediately pulled over to a parking lot and let it cool down for a couple hours. I put in 5 gallons of water to get it home. After it cooled down and the water was in...it started right up and drove normally. I took it to my mechanic and he said the intake manifold had to be replaced. It was leaking water from the front cylinder on the passenger side. Well they replaced the manifold , now I have no power off the line. It feels like like I starting out in 2nd gear. Before the manifold change, I could melt the rear tires off.

It is throwing no codes. The CATs are only a year old. What could be the problem?

Thank you,

John

Take it back. Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. I would be slightly worried about a head gasket, are you loosing any coolant?

No I am not loosing anymore coolant after the fix. I did take it back. The shop has had it for 2 weeks now.
