2009 Ford E-450 Econoline based motorhome with V-10 (2 valve) and 5-spd tork-shift tranny with 52000 miles. 250 miles from home on hot day in Georgia and the truck tried to push us through a stop sign. Had released cruise control when entering town and used tow/haul to help slow down. But when I got to stop sign it would not stop. My front wheels were sliding and it took a second to realize what was going on. I turned off the ignition and stopped. Restarted and it worked okay and has not done this again. Do you have any ideas? No codes and no pending codes. Drained and refilled tranny fluid and put in a new battery. Old battery should have been replaced before we left on trip. We returned home to central Florida where I did the work.
that's a tough thing to diagnose over the internet. I think it's best diagnosed by a tranny shop with the right equipment (pressure gauges, and scopes)
