My a/c compressor wasn’t coming on so I tried to bypass it with a paper clip in the compressor relay. The compressor came on but when I went inside the truck to turn up the a/c . My controls for the a/c was black I had no power nothing of the a/c would come on. Please I need help

Do you have the manual or automatic temperature controls?
Check your fuses
Check the AC control connector and make sure you have power there. If so, the unit might be culprit.
How do I check to see if I got power to the a/c controls? Do I check the harnesses with the light tester?
Yes, find the connectors to the unit and use the test light to check.
Ok I did that but a few of them aren’t lighting up. Do I need to switch the tester to a positive an then check those that wasn’t lighting up?
