Well I would need make and model number of course there's different cars with different parts. Now most cars have a relay if I have one by the radiator an actual control module is a small computer and those are usually far away from the radiator on the firewall or inside the car's dash. But in most cases the relays and modules don't go bad it's just that the motor itself is worn out needs replacing if you unplug the power to the motor and then put positive and negative to the motor and it doesn't spin you know you have a bad fan motor which is most common
