I have a 2001 Honda Odyssey EX with automatic transmission. It has 293,000 miles. It had the transmission replaced after about 120,000 miles. It runs very well except recently after driving 10 to 20 miles, after parking the car, when I put it in reverse to pull out of the parking space, after a second or two, it feels like the brakes are on and the car will not reverse. If I put in park and then shift into reverse again, it will go. Sometimes I have to do this 2 or 3 times before it will go. This does not happen when cold. No check engine light. I used a scan tool and with live data, noticed solenoid "C" comes on momentarily then shuts off, both when working and not working. Any idea what is wrong and what to check?

Well unfortunately those Honda odysseys are known. to have weak automatic transmissions. Have you changed the fluid regularly (+/- 50k mile intervals) since you had the transmission replaced? Other than a fluid drain and fill check the solenoid C since you said that came up in live data. If that doesn’t work check. shift linkage otherwise it might be a sign your tranny is starting to go
@fishingandcarsenthusiast123 Do you mean the shift cable that goes from the steering column to the transmission?
Do you mean the shift cable
The NSS is an electrical switch. You can find it here:
Like fishing said, Odyssey transmission are weak to begin with, and yours has 300k which is well beyond its expected lifetime. I wouldn't put a lot of money or time into it.
