test the camshaft sensor

@mountainmanjoe
Ok i will try it thanks

@mountainmanjoe
Put in a new cam sensor and check the wires. Wires are good getting readings on voltmeter and nothing

ok that's good. The computer should be getting a timing signal then. Next you'll need to test if the computer is sending a spark signal to the ignition module. You'll need some electrical schematics to work from like a Haynes manual.

@mountainmanjoe
Ok i will pick one up tomorrow

@mountainmanjoe
Went through one more time and i wasn't getting 12v to the coil pack checked all wires there good

did you find some schematics? Feel free to take a photo and post here.

@mountainmanjoe
I have the wiring diagram in pdf

perfect. You should be able to attach it.

@mountainmanjoe
Were you able to look at it?

4-17 is the page you want: Ignition System Circuit Diagram.
You said there's 0V on the ignition coil (A-62 #3). When we follow that connection up to its source, it tells you that the coil is fed by the ignition switch. (circuit #5) The ignition switch is on page 4-14. Circuit #5 is on pin 2 of the ignition switch.

So open up the ignition assembly. Put your meter on pin 2, and cycle your key. If you don't get 12V there, then you know the switch is bad. If you do get 12V at the ignition switch, then you know the problem lies in wiring between ignition switch and coil pack. From the diagram, it looks like there are two connectors along the way. If you look elsewhere in the manual, it might tell you where those connectors are mounted on the car. Then you need to inspect the wiring to make sure it's not broken somewhere, and the connectors are tight and not corroded.

@mountainmanjoe
Im not getting 12v to the wires

OK is the ignition switch getting power on pin 1 ?

@mountainmanjoe
Yes

well the power is not getting through the ignition switch , so it must be bad

@mountainmanjoe
Ok i will get a new one tomorrow and i just got a new pcm on order to should be here tomorrow to

Do you have rpm on the gauge.

@oneimich
No i do not. I just changed out the crankshaft sensor and still nothing

When you turn the key on does the check engine light appear and stay on without a full turn of the key?

@oneimich
It came on and went off
