Hi,
My car is Mazda 3 1.5 AT 2016 (70000km already). There is the noise under the hood if both flowing terms are met:
1. keep my foot on acceleration pedal
2. driving at the speed of 38-40 km/h.
I already sent my car to Mazda service but they could not find out the cause of that noise (they thought it was transmission problem, but they were not sure) . The noise is not loud but make me annoyed 😒.
My thought: resonant (but could bot find out where causes that noise).
Please help me, thank you all so much.
Can you make a YouTube video of the noise & post the link here?
Does it happen at that speed no matter which gear you’re in? Does rpm have any effect?
You might want to try this technique to pinpoint the source of the noise -
Thank you.
I did search on internet, but seem hard to buy Steelman tool in my country.
I did change my car to manual gear mode, it always make noise at that speed regardless of the gear the car in.
RPM is related to the gear, so i think the RPM is not relevant as well.
PS: I also changed belts and transmission fluid but car stills making noise.
Yeah a video (or audio) of the noise might be helpful. Doesn’t sound like it’s the engine/tranny if it only happens at a particular speed..
Before the noise exist. I used Oxygen Sensor & Catalytic Converter Cleaner ( https://www.bluechemgroup.com/en/produkt/oxygen-sensor-catalytic-converter-cleaner/)
Then after 200km, my car has that noise even at high speed (90km/h).
From that time, i only drive in city, the max speed is 60km/h but that noise happened at only speed of 38-40 km/hour with my food keep on acceleration pedal.
