I have a 2019 corolla I bought new. The car now has 12500 miles. It has a cvt transmission. I am retired and don’t drive much.
Occasionally, when I put my foot on the brake to stop the car, I hear a thump, thump from the rear of the car. Dealer didn’t find anything wrong.
The breaks work fine. I thought maybe it was the gas sloshing around
Can you please make a YouTube video of the noise and post the link here?

Something's loose. Many possibilities. Check the shock mounts.
Or find a real mechanic. Dealership mechanics are super lazy.

Does it depend on how much gas you have in the tank?

Maybe something bouncing around in the trunk?
