Hello. Brand new member to the forum. I've been watching for a few months now.
I'm looking to buy a 2013 Acura TL SH-AWD from a dealership (3.7L V6, 6-speed Automatic, 61200 miles). The vehicle has a few minor issues that I can overlook or work on myself specifically battery corrosion on terminals, hood lift supports need replacing, and driver side door not lining up with frame of vehicle. My main issue was on the test drive when making a turn, I heard a sound similar to turning a rusty metal wheel. I locked the wheel on both ends while stationary and heard the noise. I thought it would be the rack because this vehicle has EPS. Did I hit the nail on the coffin, or could it be something different?
Thanks for the help in advance.
A misaligned door and noise from the front steering/suspension? I'd ask when was the car in an accident, and why didn't they fix it. That's not the car to choose, that's not the dealership to deal with.
The report states the damage was from 2015. I asked the sales rep, he said there’s nothing he could do about it, which gave me some concern, and led to me walking away from any further negotiation. Thanks for the advice, I won’t be looking at this car anymore.
Will do, thanks!
