Hello, all!
I hate to post this question as I’ve had concerns with my power steering, but since then, I have replaced my rack & pinion, my tie rods, I’ve purchase brand new tires, replaced the power steering pump, but my reservoir seems to still be bubbling and there’s no signs of leaking from any of the hoses or even the reservoir itself. I’ve spent lots of time trying to find a probable cause. The steering wheel is very stiff when idle, and when gassed, the steering wheel loosens up. There is also a buzzing-like grinding noise that comes out when turning the wheel. It’s not as loud as it was previously, but it is very noticeable. What other steps could I take without braking bank?
Well the main question I have is did you get a brand new pump or a rebuild pump. If it's a rebuild pump half the time, they don't work right. The only way you really get bubbling and groaning is a bad pump or restriction somewhere in the system that's building up pressure like a bent metal part of a hose or a problem in the rack. And again with the rack and pinion. Did you put in a new one or a rebuild one?
