This is not really a question. I just want to share my experience at a Toyota dealership. I wanted to have wheel locks installed and I noticed that I was close to my 5k maintenance anyway, so I brought my car in. I didn’t need an oil change because my trusted local mechanic had done it, he is busy today and so I didn’t come to him.
So the 5k maintenance should include an oil change. The manager there didn’t ask me what I needed and just said, “The 5k doesn’t come with an oil change.” Again, I didn’t need an oil change and she already shot that at me.
When I asked if they could install the wheel locks for me, she got annoyed and asked me stupid questions.
”Why do you want them installed?”
So I may not have to shoot a thief…
”You may lose the key”
Like I don’t know?
”Tow truck driver wont be able to remove your wheel.”
what???
Im not against Toyota. They make amazing cars and I love my Camry. The dealership manager is just dumb.
So the 5k maintenance should include an oil change
No, it does not.
Check your manual - as far as I know these have a 10k oil mile oil change interval.

Valid questions - she was checking if you're aware of what you're getting yourself into.
Car wheel theft is not that common, if you loose your key you will have to pay a lot in repairs, and if you get stranded and will need assistance - you won't be able to get it without the key (you'll just have to leave your car where ever it is, go get the key, and return with it)
Look dealerships are usually bad, but here everything seems correct.
Modern Toyota’s have a manufacturer recommended oil change interval at 10K with 0W16 oil.
Although many on this forum will suggest to do an oil change every 5K regardless of what the manual says.
