Scotty, couldn't find your email, but I want to let you know that I have been watching your videos for over a year now. I'm a computer guy not a mechanic but I want to say I watched a video the other day about a car that was overheating and you said it could be the battery!!! I'm always amazed by your videos and help... so... Its 112F here where I live (no lie) in Canada even, so I was heading uphill to my favorite spot, and .... I own a 2006 Honda Accord V6 SE (I bought it new) the car has about 110Miles (177KM) and it has been a great vechile (yes I know, the transmissions arent the best but I don't race the thing) ... my battery was <expletive removed> since last year and I knew it was going out, so ... Listening to your youtube videos you have me prepared for everything... so getting back to things ... its 110 out, the car, is going beyond the normal temp ... not by much but I'm looking ..... so I do what you say and crank the heat..... that helps BIG TIME! (thanks) cause .. the guage went down... so I drive a few more KM ... and .... the dashboard battery light lights up, I'm like ouch, so, I know I can't go to the lake now.... I turn around and try to limp it home.... but .... the seatbelt light comes on (strange I got it on) .... then ... more lights ......... finally I know.. as I saw a video of yours saying a bad battery can do all this stuff (what a mircale) so... I get to a safe spot (a little shaded but still 95+F) pull over .... no coolant or anything leaking (check that it never OVERHEATED I'm not stupid) but ... the battery is toast.... windows won't even roll up... no cell service so some nice lady offers to call someone for me... she does so, my awesome landlord comes and gets me, I get him to jump the car so I can at least roll up the windows .... go to costco get a type 35 new battery, and change it on the spot ... car fires up and runs like perfect ... no lights no nothing .... I want to say ... WITHOUT YOUR HELP AND VIDEOS I WOULD HAVE BEEN SCREWED!!! Thanks for your dedication to the community and I love what you do, you saved me from a towing expense, a diagnosis, and the car runs fine (its a HONDA of course) ... but .. I listen to you. Thanks Scotty. Mike From Kamloops BC (CANADA)!
