Should I replace the engine

Hey I got a 1999 toyota corolla I just recently found out that I've lost compression in my #3 cylinder due to a bad exhaust valve. I was told not to replace the head but instead try to find a used motor because of the mileage on the vehicle. It has 274k on it I bought it 3 years ago and put about 150k on it cause I travel for work.  Was thinking maybe try to sell it cheap to someone who wants to fix it but part of me wants to try to find an engine for it cause it's still in pretty good condition otherwise.

Why not just get a rebuilt head and a gasket kit for around $600 and drive the car for another 200K miles.

unless you're strongly mechanically inclined and well equipped to do the job yourself, I would sell it.
