O2 Sensor Aft

Topic starter

I have 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid and had rodent issues chew under my hood. Mechanic took a look and replaced oxygen sensor.  The light for sensor still pops up intermittently.

I took it to Honda dealer and they said the O2 sensor, the one that the mechanic replaced, does not work. They want to replace it with Honda OEM parts for $1k.

Do I need a Honda O2 sensor that costs $1k or can I replace with a premium product that costs $60 at AutoZone?  Or is the issue something else like electrical?

Always use OEM parts for critical sensors. You should be able to find one from an online supplier for less than what your local dealer charges.
