I have a 99 gmc c3500 and it's leaking coolant on the left side of the engine from what looks like to be a plug that is the same size of the temperature sensor, it looks like it can be removed with a special tool that is square. It's slightly too small to fit a normal 3/8 rachet but its also slightly too big that a 1/4 rachet barely gets a grip and will most likely strip it if i try to remove it with the 1/4. Can anyone tell me the name so I can repair the truck properly? I went to autozone and showed a guy what it with pictures and location but he couldn't help me on what it was all he wanted to do was try to sell me another temperature sensor but I don't need two sensors

Okay, I dont think I can edit my original question so I will just post a new one with the link to the image thanks for the help I thought I added the link

You don't need to add another question. Just post an image link in the Your Response text box so that we can keep it in the same thread. Somebody else will know what it is. You can use websites like Imgur, select your picture, then hit share links and a selection that will say forums. Hit that, then share it here.

Thanks.

Hope i did the link correctly this time. Anyone have any idea what this part would be called or is it only something I would be able to get at a junkyard from another motor. Mine is a 5.7 liter on a 99 gmc 3500
