I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra 160,000 miles 2.0L I had a problem with my A/F sensor Aka sensor 1 and i replaced it since the voltage was out of rAnge while checking both sensor 1 and sensor 2 on the scan tool I know that sensor 2 which is after the catalytic has to move up and down between .1 to .9 volts but it wouldn’t do that I just replaced the A/F sensor and left the other sensor alone what problems could this cause? Do I get less gas mileage? Do I get black smoke on my tailpipe??

the downstream O2 sensor shouldn't fluctuate between .1 to .9 volts if the cat is working right.

Jack is right. You got it backwards.
